Under-Eaves House in Marynowy – Historic Architecture from the 18th Century

monuments

The under-eaves house in Marynowy, built in 1773 and extensively remodeled in 1939, is located in the northern part of the village on the eastern side of the road. The building, constructed ridge-wise on a stone foundation, features a timber frame in the log cabin style with boarded corners. A low knee wall and vertically paneled gable give the structure a cohesive, rustic character. The front projection, made in a half-timbered style and filled with yellow bricks, is supported by six front columns and two side columns. A glassed-in porch shelters the centrally positioned entrance, and the western facade has seven axes with a three-axis projection above the porch. In the four-axis gable composition, there is a pair of windows with triangular transoms, and dates commemorating the house's construction and remodeling are visible on the projection.
