The Sea Cross and Alley of Seafarers – A Symbolic Point in Rewa
monuments
The Sea Cross in Rewa, stylized as an anchor, is one of the most recognizable and symbolic places in the city. Funded by the residents of the Kosakowo commune, it was erected in 2004 as a tribute to people who have contributed to the sea and those who have lost their lives on its waters. The cross stands near the Rewa Headland, known locally as "Szperk," and is the destination of the Alley of Seafarers – an alley with memorial plaques in the shape of wind roses, on which the names of outstanding seafarers are placed each year.
