The manor of the Kashubian nobility in Wicko

monuments

Wicko was a knight's estate belonging to various noble families of Kashubian nobility. In the mid-16th century, the Wicko estate belonged to the York family, and in the 17th century, it successively passed into the hands of the Sirocki and Krockow families. In the 18th century, the estate became the property of the Wussow family. In the second half of the 18th century, Jerzy Wawrzyniec became the owner of the village. In 1900, part of the estate was taken over by the Prussian State.

The 19th-century manor in Wicko, despite its modesty, represents a classical architectural style. It was built by the von Weiher family, and most likely expanded with the eastern wing in the early 20th century. However, today it is difficult to notice this manor due to the addition of a school building in the 1970s. The whole area is surrounded by remnants of the former, modest park space.
