The manor in Brzyno
In 1284, the secular prince Mściwój II granted the village of Brzyno the status of a knightly estate. Along with Godętowo, the inheritance was received by Błażej of the von Wittke family. During the Thirteen Years' War (1454-1666), unclear sources mention that the then owner of Brzyno, Georg von Wittke, decided to sell the village to Mr. von Krakow from the Osiek line. In 1570, the estate passed into the hands of the von Weiher family. In 1633, a fire broke out in the village, causing immense damage. In 1786, the village was owned by Józef Przebendowski. In 1797, the estate was acquired by Franz Retzlaff, and in 1803, the village was owned by Mr. von Kurowski. He also owned Prusewo and Strzebielinko. In 1839, Brzyno was purchased by Józef von Reck, who changed the name of the village to Reckendorf. In the same year, a manor-farm complex was established here, replacing the one destroyed in a major fire in 1663. The contemporary manor dates back to 1905, surrounded by a small park, presenting itself modestly. It is a one-story building with a mansard roof, characterized by gables and facades. The main entrance is located on the garden side. Next to the manor stands a low tower, arousing curiosity - it is actually a 19th-century well in the shape of a rotunda.
