The Church in Wieszyno - Medieval Architecture with a Contemporary Touch
monuments
The Church in Wieszyno, built in the 15th century, is a valuable example of medieval ecclesiastical architecture. In the 1970s, it underwent a thorough renovation during which its eastern part was added. The temple was built on a solid stone foundation, made of brick and plastered. The building is covered with a gable roof, and its tower, with a base close to a square, has a hipped roof. The church was built on a rectangular plan, as a single-nave building, with a narrower tower located on the western side. Unfortunately, the original interior furnishings have not survived to this day. The current decor has distinct contemporary features, harmonizing with the character of the restored building.
