The castle occupies the south-west corner of the old town and lies just above the riverbank. The Teutonic Knights began construction of the castle while the city wall, and ended in 1363, the stronghold Lęborska differs significantly from the typical Teutonic strongholds. It is still the seat of the court, so during office hours you can see in it the modern bas-reliefs depicting ancient views of the castle (on the ground floor) and the Baroque and Renaissance ceilings fireplace (upstairs).
