Tamowa Hill – A Viewpoint in the Heart of Kashubia
Tamowa Hill (224.1 m above sea level), located in the Szymbarskie Hills range, is a unique viewpoint near Chmielno, offering expansive panoramas of Kashubia. From the summit, there is a picturesque view of Chmielno and nearby Zawory, as well as three lakes: Kłodno, Białe, and Raduńskie, which fill the Chmielno Depression. The viewpoint provides a wide perspective, including the Reskowsko-Łapalicka highland and distant towns such as Łapalice and Garcz. On the horizon, you can also see the Mojuszewsko-Mirachowskie highlands and the Sianowsko-Dzierżąskie Lakeland. At the top of Tamowa Hill, you will find a bench for rest, telescopes to take a closer look at distant landscapes, and a board with the "Legend of the Fate of Chmielno's Tamowa" taken from the 1927 edition of Gazeta Kartuska, which adds charm to this unique place in Kashubia.
