Rusocin Manor – Baroque-Classicist Architecture

monuments

Located in one of the oldest villages in the Gdańsk region, Rusocin Manor was built around 1800 as a residence for the Tiedemann family, who owned the village from 1763 to 1912. The single-story main building, with its Baroque-Classicist character, was built on a rectangular plan. Its garden facade displays Classicist details, and the hipped roof is enriched by a two-story risalit on the short axis. In the late 19th century, small outbuildings were added to both corners.

On the northern side, the manor is adjoined by historic farm buildings, including a listed grain storehouse, a large stable with a unique vault, and a coach house. The entire complex is surrounded by a picturesque 13.5-hectare landscape park that extends to the banks of the Kłodawa river. The park, laid out in the French style, features two ponds that emphasize the unique character of this place.

The first mention of Rusocin dates back to 1296, making the village one of the oldest settlements in the region.
