The bridge was built shortly after World War II for military purposes in the nearby Kiezmark, and in 1973 it was divided into two sections and moved to Drewnica and Sobieszewo. It combines Sobieszewo Island to the mainland and is a major transport route. It consists of nine bays, of which the middle, with a width of 30 m, is mobile and is used to open the bridge.
