Oliwa Gate
monuments
The youngest of the chapels that make up the Wejherowo Calvary is the Oliwa Gate, also known as the Gate of New Jerusalem. Although it comes from a slightly later period, it is widely considered the 26th chapel of this unique sacred complex. The small chapel takes the form of an arched gate and serves as a symbolic place where pilgrimages departing from Oliwa are welcomed and bid farewell on the occasion of the Great Calvary Pilgrimage. The chapel was founded in the 18th century by Piotr Jerzy Przebendowski.
