Old Cemetery in Kolibki

monuments

The cemetery was founded in 1902, but the first burials took place a year later. It is the churchyard of the no longer existing St. Joseph's Church. Closed for burials since 1946. Approximately 350 people are buried in the cemetery, and most of the tombstones have not survived, and the names of those buried here are unknown. Notably, the main cemetery gate is in very good condition and was built with red bricks from the local Koliebken brickyard.

On old photographs, you can see a no longer existing high chapel located right next to the cemetery, which served as a resting place for pilgrims traveling from Oliwa to Wejherowo. Its location is still indicated by the preserved stairs.

After the war, the cemetery fell into oblivion...
