monuments
Stately church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, originally Protestant. It was built between 1845-1847, modeled after Neo-Gothic architecture. It features a tower and an impressive apse. The first mass for the local Protestant population was solemnly celebrated in 1847. The structure is made of brick in the form of a hall. The building is crowned with a prominent semicircular apse on the east, covered by a half-dome. The elevations of the nave are decorated with symmetrically arranged, horizontal bands in the Neo-Romanesque style. The western façade is closed by a three-story, slender tower in the shape of a square, topped with triangular gables and an octagonal, pointed spire.
