The Parish of St. Mary Magdalene in Strzepcz has been in existence for 700 years. Its roots trace back to the Middle Ages and are closely connected with the history of Pomerania. The first mention of Strzepcz comes from a document dated June 11, 1314. Historical confirmation of the existence of the parish in Strzepcz is found in the records of the years 1325-1327 in the parish register, which recorded payments of tithes. These events took place during the presence of the Teutonic Order in these lands, coinciding with the appearance of the 15th-century figure of the Virgin Mary of Strzepcz. Since then, Strzepcz has become a place of Marian worship, attracting pilgrims from the surrounding areas. During the Reformation, spiritual changes also affected Strzepcz, and many nobles sympathetically embraced Protestant ideas. Another mention comes from 1686, referring to the reconstruction of the church destroyed by fire. The present church, dedicated to St. Mary Magdalene, is monumental and was erected after World War II in the 1940s. Some of its furnishings come from an earlier church built of Prussian Brick, which existed in the same location.
