monuments

The monument commemorates the heroic combat actions in September 1939, undertaken by a unit of the Polish Army stationed in the barracks in Redłowo. The regiment defended the area of Kolibki and the border of Poland with the Free City of Gdańsk, from whose territory German units attacked. The soldiers of the regiment fought from September 1 to 19, initially in the area of Kolibki and Wielki Kack, and then on Kępa Oksywska. Next to the monument, there is a viewpoint overlooking Kolibki and the sea.
