Mill in Tluczewo

monuments

At Łeba, there is an active, historic mill dating back to the early 20th century. The first mention of the mill in Tłuczewo dates back to 1342 and is associated with the Oliwa monastery. According to the land registry of 1565, Tłuczewo was a village surrounded by beech and oak forests. The arable land in Tłuczewo consisted of 10 ploughlands, of which the mayor had to provide service from three ploughlands. At that time, there were three peasants on seven włókas. The miller was entitled to seven włókas, although he did not engage in their cultivation. Currently, a small hydroelectric power plant operates in the mill, and it is possible to ask the miller for a guided tour of the facility.
