Manor in Bychowo

monuments

Once consisting of two manors, the estate often changed owners. It was longest owned by the von Büchow and von Lübtow families. The current layout of the estate is thanks to the Sydow family, who in the mid-19th century erected a new manor surrounded by an old park. This building has a rectangular, one-story shape, with an additional floor under a high hipped roof. In the 1960s, this historical monument was taken over by the State Treasury and fell into ruins. In the last decade of the 20th century, it was purchased by a private investor. They meticulously restored the manor, though without references to the historical style. Currently, it is the main element of a luxurious recreational complex, also encompassing some farm buildings and a spacious, well-maintained park covering an area of 4.7 hectares.
