Manor House in Leśnice

monuments

Leśnice is a residential estate. The manor was founded by Jerzy Wejher, who in the mid-18th century built a modest single-story manor house. Thirty years later, another owner, Alexander Przebendowski, added a second floor and side wings to the building. The property was renovated again in 1909 by Ernst von Dewitz. Currently, the manor consists of three wings arranged in a regular horseshoe shape, with a courtyard open to the east. The central wing, with two stories, has a room layout reminiscent of the Baroque period, but its facades exhibit modest Neoclassical features. The side wings are unstyled, single-story buildings with high-pitched roofs. The four-hectare palace park is neglected, but it features beautiful specimens of trees. Within the park, there is a baroque grand gate.
