The history of Żelazno begins in 1378 when the Grand Master of the Teutonic Order, Carl von Trieri, issued documents formalizing the change of ownership from Wodka (Woedtke) to Żelazno (Selaschnow). In 1437, this settlement had the status of Polish law. According to the parish chronicle of Osiek, at the beginning of the 16th century, the entire Żelazno belonged to the Żelaziński family. In 1575, Żelazno, alongside Choczewko and Słajkowo, had feudal privileges for two families - Żelaziński and Rostke. In the following years, the property often changed hands and was even divided into six parts. The final consolidation was carried out in 1859 by Robert von Milczewski, whose descendants ruled over Żelazno until 1945. Thanks to their efforts, before 1900, a manor house was built, and a park was established. The manor was two-story, in neoclassical style, surrounded by a beautiful park with historic trees and several outbuildings, including a smithy. On the outskirts of the settlement is a small evangelical cemetery with a neo-Gothic mausoleum of the Milczewski family.
