Forest Gates - Ruins of a Bridge over the Bukowina River
Hidden deep within dense forests lies a unique stone and brick bridge that once formed part of the railway line connecting Lębork with Bytów. Railway line No. 237, built at the beginning of the 20th century, had local significance, but its solid constructions remain a testament to the engineering skills of that time. The bridge, with its characteristic aqueduct-like structure, consists of three spans, the middle of which was destroyed at the end of World War II. The Bukowina River flows beneath it, its rapid current adding to the charm of this picturesque ruin. Known as the "Forest Gates," the bridge has survived as one of the most pristine and undiscovered attractions. Despite the damage, its monumental form continues to impress and attract history and nature enthusiasts.
