Fishing boat "Pomeranka", Fishing Museum in Hel
monuments
This type of fishing boat comes from Western Pomerania, where it was adopted in the 80's of the last century on the coast of Gdansk. Built overlapping technique, reinforced bottoms and frames not in contact with each other, which is a relic of the old Slavic art of boatbuilding. The flat keel allowed the extraction of the large and heavy boat on the sandy shore. It was used to catch flounder, sprat and salmon. Exposed boat is the last representative of its type. Made by Jan Czapp of Wierzchucino about 1950. Dimensions: length 8.52 m, width 2.82 m, height 1.77 m
