Drawbridge over the Tina River

monuments

In the town of Jezioro, there is one of the most picturesque drawbridges in the Żuławy region, particularly popular among photographers. Built in 1895, the bridge has a total length of 39.2 meters, making it one of the oldest surviving structures of its kind in Poland. Located over the Tina River, it is a three-span bridge with a central, movable span featuring a two-wing design made of riveted plate girders. The mechanism for raising the span operates via cranks and chains, which function through a system of gears and pulleys.
