Borkówko Manor

monuments

The village in the past belonged, among others, to the Jackowski and Wejher families. However, at the beginning of the 20th century, the von Vichstaedt family managed to build a manor house on the edge of the farm complex, already surrounded by an old park. The silhouette of this single-story, three-winged building resembles a baroque mansion, with its style enhanced by a central projection with a pediment and a massive mansard roof. Around the farmyard, there are farm buildings from the 19th/20th century, and in the park itself, there are still individual specimens of ancient linden trees, pedunculate oaks, and yews. After the war, the farm was nationalized, but in 1960 the manor returned to private hands, allowing it to survive into the 21st century in fairly good condition.
