Baroque Church of the Holy Trinity and All Saints in Goręczyno
monuments
The Church of the Holy Trinity and All Saints in Goręczyno is one of the most valuable monuments in the region. The first temple was founded as early as the 13th century and was originally dedicated to St. Agatha. It was a wooden structure that, unfortunately, has not survived to this day. The current, brick-built Baroque church was erected by the Carthusians in 1639, and on the outer eastern wall, there is a foundation stone that commemorates the founder and glorifies the Holy Trinity and All Saints. The church was consecrated in 1772, and in 1905, a transept was added, giving it the shape of a cross. Renovation work was carried out in the years 1912-1914, and the result of these efforts is the current appearance of the temple.
